“This is a great day in our nation’s history,” explained Mitch McConnell, the Republican Senate Minority Leader from Kentucky. “We have managed to completely undermine the democratic process, voting procedures, and electoral count protocols across the country—effectively bringing an end to the scourge of democracy.”

“There was a day when people across the world thought America was a representative democracy,” McConnell continued, “but thanks to the heroic efforts of determined bigots, fearless evangelicals,  and unrelenting corporate capitalists we’ve all been able to unite under the umbrella of corruption, racism, and craven greed to achieve our conversative vision for America.”

“Of course,” McConnell added, “’End of American Democracy Day’ will be celebrated every year on January 6.”
